Note III: While the main focus today is on the game there was news on Jets 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti who according to interim head coach Dave Lowry is still not skating and remains “aways away”.

Winnipeg Sun: GAME NIGHT: Jets take on Montreal. Paul previews the action ahead of tonight’s game.

Winnipeg Free Press: Paul Stastny one-on-one. (Paywall). Jeff had a one-on-one chat with the veteran forward about the news which came out a few weeks back. 

CBC: Emotions on guard for thee: Ukrainian, Canadian anthems to be sung at Jets-Canadiens NHL game. They are powerful at the best of times and I cannot imagine how impactful tonight’s anthem will be.

Illegal Curve: Jets vs Canadiens pre-game report. The Jets held a morning skate followed by a media availability before they take on Montreal. Check out the projected lines and D pairs and hear from players.

Sportsnet: Canadiens’ Perreault has so many great memories from his time in Winnipeg. Mathieu Perreault talks about all his great memories with the Jets organization, and the amazing Winnipeg fans, as he’s set to make his first return since leaving for Montreal.

TSN: Evans says eliminating Jets from playoffs was enough retribution for Scheifele hit. Mark Scheifele was suspended for his hit on Jake Evans the last time the Canadiens met the Jets in last year’s playoffs. Tonight will be the first time the two actually play against one another, but Evans says he’s moved on from the play and the best retribution was eliminating Winnipeg from the playoffs with Scheifele not even playing a game.

TSN: Scheifele: ‘If Jake Evans wants to fight me, I will answer the bell’. Last season, Mark Scheifele delivered a devastating hit to Jake Evans that knocked him out of action for a month, and in turn, had the Jets forward miss the rest of the series against Montreal with a suspension. Tonight will be the first meeting between the two since the event, and while Scheifele says he has moved past what happened, he will answer if challenged to a fight.
