Mark Scheifele was suspended for his hit on Jake Evans the last time the Canadiens met the Jets in last year’s playoffs. TSN: Scheifele: ‘If Jake Evans wants to fight me, I will answer the bell’. Last season, Mark Scheifele delivered a devastating hit to Jake Evans that knocked him out of action for a month, and in turn, had the Jets forward miss the rest of the series against Montreal with a suspension. Tonight will be the first meeting between the two since the event, and while Scheifele says he has moved past what happened, he will answer if challenged to a fight.
