Note: We found out from Jets PR this morning that Mark Scheifele is in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols although the team confirmed he is asymptomatic and has since tested negative. If he tests negative again he could be a player tonight. Update:  He produced another positive COVID-19 test, remains in NHL’s COVID-19 protocols and will not play tonight.

Note II: Puck drop is at 7 pm CDT tonight as the Jets play in their home opener against the Ducks.  After the game, be sure to check us out for all the post-game reaction.

Note III: As well be sure to join Drew, Ezzy and I for the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show once the final buzzer sounds.  You can watch it (be sure to hit that subscribe and like button) and participate here.

TSN: Two different lineups, game plans as Jets await Scheifele’s test result ahead of home openerThe Jets are still looking for their first win of the season as they get set to host the Ducks in their home opener. But the big story around the club continues to be COVID-19. Sara Orlesky has more.

Sportsnet: Jets waiting on pins and needles for Scheifele’s third COVID test result. Sean Reynolds and Ken Wiebe discuss the Winnipeg Jets’ early brush with COVID-19, losing Wheeler and potentially Mark Scheifele to the protocols, and look ahead to an absolutely dynamic U.S. goalie battle between Hellebuyck and John Gibson.
