Note: Puck drop is at 8 pm CDT tonight as the Jets look to get this homestand turned around against an Oilers team they haven’t done well against (2-5-0) this season. After the game, be sure to check us out for all the post-game reaction.

Note II:  The big news from morning skate is that Nikolaj Ehlers is done for the regular season although the team is confident/hopeful that he will be back for the playoffs according to head coach Paul Maurice.

Global News: Scheifele ‘pissed off’ about benching but has put it behind him.  An angry number 55 is probably a good thing for a Jets club that could use a boost.

TSN: Dreger on impact of Ehlers’ absence, messages being sent by Maurice to Jets. With news that Nikolaj Ehlers will miss the remainder of the regular season for WInnipeg, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger explains how much of a loss this is for the Jets and discusses the blunt messages head coach Paul Maurice has been sending to a few of his top players.

TSN: Oilers expect physical, playoff-like contest against Jets. In a probable first round matchup, the Oilers admit that they and the Jets are fairly equal, and are expecting tonight’s game to be a physical, tight playoff brand of hockey that should go down to the wire.

Sportsnet: Jets look to turn tide against Oilers but missing Ehlers creates challenge. The Jets are looking to get a win over the Oilers and avoid a fourth-straight loss, but missing one of their key contributors in Nikolaj Ehlers will make that task a little tougher.
