The Athletic: Why the NHL trade deadline may be quieter than usual. (Paywall). We had James Duthie on the IC Hockey Show a few weeks back and I asked him about the trade deadline being a bit of a dud this year given all that is going on with the league.  LeBrun shares a similar sentiment in this piece which uses Winnipeg’s acquisition of Pierre-Luc Dubois as a reference point.

The Athletic:  NHL Trade Deadline Big Board. (Paywall).  While the above article would seem to suggest it will be a quiet trade deadline it won’t be absent any moves.  Check out this piece on the players who are believed to be in play this season.

TSN:  Jets mentally prepared for grueling part of schedule. As Winnipeg get set to play the Canucks tonight on TSN, it will be the first of 17 games in the 31 days of March. With an unprecedented workload, the Jets say that they have been preparing for this, and are ready to pace and take care of themselves mentally, and physically.
