Note II:  This is the second game of the Friendly Manitoba vs. Minnesota Nice series between the Jets and Wild.  Game 1 at the Xcel was quite a battle.  In case you forgot here is a reminder.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets start key home-and-home series in Twin Cities.  Many fans are thinking back to the the critical home & home (except both were played in Winnipeg) against the Capitals back in March of 2013 that the Jets failed to win to help propel them to the playoffs.  While it is quite a bit earlier in the season these next two games are still important.  You can expect plenty of emotion in tonight’s contest in St. Paul as coach Yeo said in his media scrum “this is a team that occupies a spot we want to get. This is a team that we want to know that we’re coming for them”.

Winnipeg Sun:  Hutchinson to start second straight.  Many fans who felt that Hutchinson deserved a string of starts have to be happy that the back-up will be in the net for another game.  Of course if the Jets win it will be very interesting to see who coach Maurice starts on Monday.

Illegal Curve:  Game day Set-up.  Setting up tonight’s Jets and Wild game with projected lines, starting goalies, games notes and more.

Illegal Curve:  Coach Maurice pre-game scrum (audio).   Going back to Hutchinson.  Is this move a reflection on his confidence or lack thereof in Pavelec?  Still committed to the rotation of goalies?  How much do Hutchinson’s numbers play into this decision?  Creates more sitting for Pavelec.  Importance of the home and home against Wild.

Illegal Curve:  Jets vs. Wild projected lineupsTake a look at what the lines looked like after practice today and what combos you should expect to see at Xcel Energy Center this evening.
