The Jets pick is in as they select Sascha Boumedienne from Boston University (he was the youngest player in NCAA Division I hockey this past season) with the 28th overall selection. He was born in Finland but was raised in Sweden and plays for them internationally. The left-shot defenceman spent the last four years in Ohio according to the NHL.

And their description of him:
Boumedienne’s a very attentive player, he scans non-stop and proactively picks up rotations and switches. Intensely fights for positioning, getting inside when possible and bringing players into the wall when not. Times his close-outs as the second in to appear just as the opponent slips around the first defender.
