The Jets have a number of prospects in the NCAA and this year a few have hit the Transfer Portal. The latest player to find a new home for next season is goalie Logan Neaton who spent the last two seasons at UMass-Lowell. The Jets 2019 5th rounder from Michigan was in a tough spot during his sophomore season of college only playing three games in a rotation with four other goalies. According to Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News the prospect will be heading to Miami (Ohio).
Last season freshman goalie Ludvig Persson from Sweden played the bulk of games (18) for the RedHawks earning him second team all-NCHC honours according to Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald, while sophomore Benjamin Kraws played eight games down in Oxford, Ohio. This could present a good opportunity for Neaton as he heads into his junior year of college.
Other Jets prospects who transferred or are in the transfer portal:
On April 6th news broke that Jets prospect goalie Jared Moe transferred from Minnesota to Wisconsin. This leaves Jets 2019 5th rounder Harrison Blaisdell as the only prospect who remains in the transfer portal without a new destination.
