Update from Saturday’s Wings practice: Brian Rafalski did not practice and won’t play tomorrow in Game 2 against the Ducks.
“I saw him this morning, he’s in good spirits, he seems fine,” Mike Babcock said. “He’s not going to play.”Rafalski hasn’t skated three straight days because of an undisclosed upper-body injury.

What did the Wings need last night? They needed Listrom to step up and be a hero (2 goals and did he leave the ice) and they needed one of the lesser defenceman to take it to the next level. Ericsson really stepped up and played well in place of Rafalski. That being said, they have to hope that if this series is going to go long, that Rafalski gets back into the lineup asap.
