The Moose were at hockey for all centre for another skate as they continue to prepare for their upcoming season opener on Friday, October 10th against the Rocket. They were set to get a boost to the lineup with both Ville Heinola and Walker Duehr clearing waivers on Monday.
Skate news:
It was a much smaller group than the ones we’ve been seeing which indicated to me that they have cut down on some of the ECHL players and sent them to Norfolk as the Admirals have begun their training camp.

I did notice that goalie Alex Worthington wasn’t on the ice today but there were three others including Thomas Milic, Domenic DiVincentiis and Isaac Poulter. Heinola was wearing number 14 which had been worn in camp by recently signed to an AHL deal Chase Yoder who switched to 48. The Finnish defender was on his offside but alongside Kale Clague on the top pairing.
The coaching staff ran a Jets prospect line of Colby Barlow, Brayden Yager and Fabian Wagner which is certainly a talented trio.

Lines:
Di Giuseppe – JAD – Shaw
Duehr – Zhilkin – Fagemo
Wagner – Yager – Barlow
Vitelli – Conley – Empey
Yoder – O’Leary
Health update:
I did notice for the second straight skate that Jets prospect Jacob Julien wasn’t skating. Turned out he was injured in the intra squad game and will miss 6-8 weeks with a lower-body injury. Tough news for the first-year pro.
