At the end of October we learned that Judy, the wife of Jets head coach Rick Bowness, had suffered a seizure and it was announced that he would be taking a leave of absence from the team.
We learned on Friday that he was meeting with the team in Florida although the nature of the tweet from Darren Dreger didn’t really indicate much other than they’d be seeing each other.
And today as per Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press the bench boss will be back behind the bench tonight against the Panthers in Florida:
Good morning from Sunrise, Fla., where the #NHLJets will face the #FlaPanthers tonight. HC Rick Bowness will be on the ice for the morning skate, be behind the bench tonight and is set to return to the team in a full-time capacity.
This would appear to mean Judy is doing better which is the most important piece of news that surrounds today’s breaking news.
But it is also big news for the Jets who are currently on a four-game win streak and went 9-2-2 during his 13 game absence.
