The Blues struck early and often in game 3 against the Jets to cut their series deficit in half

The best regular season road team in the entire NHL got arrested in their tracks as the Blues got started early in the 1st, scored often (to the tune of seven goals) and cut their series deficit in half with a massive 7-2 victory in game three.

Notable:

The Blues harnessed the energy of their crowd, got out to a 7-0 shot edge, scoring twice by the 3:11 mark of the opening period and never really looked back as they left the Jets in the dust.

Winnipeg thought they had gotten within two as Cole Perfetti appeared to bury this chance on the power play. While it clearly looks like a goal the NHL wasn’t able to provide evidence that the puck had crossed the line.

The 4th line continues to generate. They got rewarded after Jaret Anderson-Dolan drove hard into the Blues zone and fed David Gustafsson for his first of the playoffs (second career playoff goal) to make it a 3-1 deficit.

While there was plenty of time remaining on the clock a miscue behind the Winnipeg net by Connor Hellebuyck and a lack of communication from the D allowed the home team to take a 4-1 lead just 52 second later.

Only other bright spot was Neal Pionk picking up his first ever playoff goal.
