Most of the Jets stayed off the ice on Wednesday after a big 4-1 win over the Golden Knights in Winnipeg on Tuesday. However, with the Predators also winning they remained five points back of the Predators (and the Kings) for the final wild card spot in the West. And it won't get any easier to make gains considering they have a home and home series with the top team in the NHL with the Avs in town this evening. The Avs come to town having won three straight games and are currently the only NHL team with over 100 points. They've only lost seven times in regulation on the road although one of those losses came in Winnipeg two weeks ago.
