Entering this season, no player had scored more AHL goals over the previous five years than the winger from Göteborg. Although he still led Manitoba with 19 goals while adding 16 assists for 35 points in 72 games, Fagemo’s offensive production dipped from the pace he established in previous AHL seasons and his dangerous shot seemed underutilized, especially on the power play. The move back to Frölunda gives the 26-year-old an opportunity to return home and re-establish himself with one of Sweden’s premier clubs and one where he won a championship back in 2018-19.
