On Saturday Headlines tonight insider Elliotte Friedman had this to say about the Dustin Byfuglien situation:
There is word tonight we are getting closer to clarification on Dustin Byfuglien’s status for this season. Word is he has yet to resume skating, and “most likely” outcome is he doesn’t play this year and his future is re-visited in the summer.
This could open up the Jets cap situation if they wish to make moves….they’ve had to “hold” his $7.6M hit until they knew his plans.
And this is slowly but surely is coming to a conclusion we think……stay tuned.
