Sara Orlesky reporting Mark Scheifele’s injury is not believed to be long term but he is expected to miss Game 2

All we knew about Patrik Laine and Mark Scheifele on Sunday was that they were seeing specialists and that they did not participate in this afternoon’s practice.  It didn’t bode well for their participation in Monday’s afternoon Game 2 against the Flames.  In a short series these two players missing any games isn’t a good thing but it would appear that the Jets did get some positive news according to Sara Orlesky of TSN.

We shall have to wait and see what happens next but for now the Jets will have to hope the next man up mentality works on Monday afternoon without two key pieces in Mark Scheifele and Patrik Laine.
