Pre-season Game 4: Oilers 3 Jets 2 in SO post-game recap

On a night that was more about the legacy of Dale Hawerchuk there was still an exhibition hockey game to play which saw the visitors take it in a 3-2 shootout. The Jets are now 2-1-1 in the pre-season and will close out the final pair of games against the Flames this week.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats click here to see the results from the game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

On a night all about #10 (aka Dale Hawerchuk) it was appropriate that Cole Perfetti, the 10th overall selection in 2020, scored twice for the home team.

In his second exhibition game Brad Lambert continues to show off his speed and creativity.

Pierre-Luc Dubois and Ville Heinola both finished the game with two assists apiece.

Heinola looked good QB’ing the power play.
