It’ll be interesting to see what the Panthers get for Jokinen. I doubt it’ll be
fair value. Besides Jokinen’s struggles, Martin called him out repeatedly in the
season’s final months. That didn’t raise his value. Now at the draft, teams know
Martin wants to dump Jokinen, just like they knew Keenan wanted to dump Luongo.

I disagree with Gorten. The Panthers need to enter full rebuilding mode, and add a number of valuable young pieces in exchange for Jokinen. The big Finnish center is playing out the prime of his career, and he won’t be winning anything in Florida; so, might as well deal him and build for the future.
