One-on-one conversation with Manitoba Moose head coach Pascal Vincent

On Monday I had a one-on-one chat with Moose head coach Pascal Vincent. We discussed, among other things, his selection of Jets 2015 2nd rounder Jansen Harkins as his best story of the season as well as the development gains made by Jets 2016 6th rounder Mikhail Berdin and 2017 5th rounder Leon Gawanke this past season.

In addition to the specific prospect talk, Pascal provided insight into his schedule since the AHL season was paused, communicating with his staff/players and players staying motivated during this pause.

What has your life been like since the season was paused over three weeks ago?

How often are you communicating with your coaching staff?  Do you have to plan as if the season is resuming?

Do you regularly check in with the team?

On the team training/staying motivated.

Last up from our chat will be how Pascal as a coach/motivator can use the example of Jansen Harkins to motivate players in the American League. It will be posted on Thursday.
