What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:
Playoff teams:
- All three of Erik Cole, Scott Walker and Tuomo Ruutu missed practice today. Don’t worry Caniacs, all three are expected to play tomorrow.
- Tim Sassone has some concerns about Cristobal Huet being the Hawks’ starting netminder next season. Huet certainly didn’t inspire confidence with yesterday’s performance.
Non-playoff teams:
- The Habs have signed Swedish winger Mikael Johansson. His stats aren’t jumping off the page, but aside from money, it doesn’t cost the Habs to take a look and see what he can bring to the table.
- If Game 7 were a regular season contest, rest assured that Marc Savard would have been nowhere near the Bruins lineup. He had to have been hurt because he was better than his performance demonstrated.
- Scott Gordon loves Kyle Okposo. He’d better, he is supposed to be one of the cornerstones of that franchise moving forward.
