On the Beat: Keenan defends Phaneuf

I got access to another computer so here is what team beat writers are saying this afternoon:

  • Ryan Getzlaf is tough as nailsHe’s become a dominanting force this season.
  • With a number of injuries, the Bruins have made a couple call upsWill the Bruins add a forward at the deadline for depth purposes?
  • Mike Keenan defends Dion Phaneuf.  Didn’t see the hit, if you did, leave a comment with your take.
  • Did you know Zach Parise is tied for 2nd in the NHL in goals scored?  He’s that good.
  • Another injury to the Oilers back-end.  This one bothers Oilers fans more as it was a cheap play.
  • The Rangers are smiling again because they finally won.  Still don’t have enough goal-scoring.

The Moose head to B.C. today where they will begin four games on the road starting on Friday with the Canucks (of Abbotsford).

Their lineup will be bolstered by the addition of Dominic Toninato who passed through waivers on Wednesday.

The Jets take their act on the road starting with a game tomorrow night in St. Louis against the Blue.

The Moose will be in Abbotsford for a practice on Thursday as they get ready to kick off four away from Manitoba.
