What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:

  • The Thrashers were really that bad on Sunday.  This team is just brutal.
  • Here are the Bruins lines from practice today.  Still no sign of Bergeron.
  • Some line changes at Carolina’s morning practice.  Scott Walker moved to Matt Cullen’s line.
  • The Devils checking line was back at work yesterday against Ottawa.  Coach Sutter said he went with the hot line against the Sens’ top trio.
  • John Glennon is wondering why the Predators haven’t made any moves to help an awful offense? Fair question; however, people need to realize David Poile is arguably the most patient GM in all of professional sports.  It has to be said again, the loss of Alexander Radulov to the KHL left a monumental gap up front for the Predators.
  • Aaron Voros is in and Lauri Korpikoski is out tonight for the Rangers.  Not exactly going to instill fear into the Penguins.
  • Speaking of those Rangers, Seth Rorabaugh previews what they are like for tonight’s game versus the Penguins.  Two teams who need to build some momentum.
  • The Capitals lines from this morning’s practice.  Almost back to a full roster.
