On the Beat: Filatov back to AHL, Cullimore signs with Panthers and line combos for your reading pleasure

What team beat-writers are saying this afternoon:

• The Blue Jackets have sent Nikita Filatov back to the AHL.  This team is young enough up front, that it wouldn’t hurt to get Filatov some AHL seasoning.
• Here are the Devils’ lines from practice today.  Looks like Langenbrunner will miss tomorrow’s game.
• The Panthers have signed Jassen Cullimore to a contract.  With all their defensive injuries–Cory Murphy, Bryan McCabe and Bryan Allen–the Panthers had to do something.
• The Habs will scratch Georges Laraque, Steve Begin and Patrice Brisebois for tonight’s game.  Man they have a lot of depth.
• Here is how the Capitals lined up at practice today.  Obviously the team will miss Ovechkin but they still don’t lack goal-scoring.
