  • Steve Yzerman has been named Executive Director of the Canadian Olympic Team for the 2010 games in Vancouver.  Can you ever go wrong with Steve Yzerman? In a word–no.  Here is Eric Duhatchek’s take on the deal.
  • Matt Greene has signed a five year, $14.75 million deal.  Greene doesn’t provide offense but is a physical, stay-at-home defenseman who is entering his prime years.  An average of just under three million dollars is about the going rate for that type of player.
