Nightly Wrap Around

Nightly Wrap-Around

  • Tom Benjamin doesn’t think the NHL is as strong as Gary Bettman says.  Bettman can’t say the NHL isn’t strong, so he’s between a rock and a hard place.
  • Waiting For Stanley has a picture of one of the funniest signs I’ve seen in a while.  Love the creativity.
  • Jeff Klein of the NY Times with more on the Alexei Cherepanov tragedyJust a terrible situation.
  • Predators captain Jason Arnott will miss at least the team’s next three games with a hand injury.  This team cannot afford Arnott to be out much longer than that, as they lack the scoring depth they had last season.
  • Sabres forward Jochen Hecht will be out for at least two weeks with a finger injury. More significant loss than some may think.
  • Stars forward Fabian Brunnstrom is apparently going to make his Stars debut tomorrow night. We will finally get to see this kid play a meaningful game.
  • Pierre-Marc Bouchard is flying to back to Minnesota with a back injury. If he is out for some time, the Wild will feel that loss.
