Negotiations with Pascal Leclaire just beginning

Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: “Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson yesterday refuted weekend reports out of Canada that contract negotiations were not going very well with restricted free agent goaltender Pascal Leclaire.”

I really don’t see these two sides not coming to some sort of agreement. Leclaire was terrific last season and really flourished under coach Hitchcock’s defense-first system. Scott Howson is a sharp GM and I’m sure the sides will end up agreeing on a three or four year contract.
