Winnipeg Jets fans are routinely praised for their inventive/fun chants which are usually at an opposition players expense. Tonight, with Patrik Laine facing Auston Matthews the crowd decided to go to an old faithful which was “_______s better”. Of course that insert name here was Laine for a ‘Laine’s better’ chant.
They first got it going with the Jets down 4-3:
The Jets fans are pumped up. Get the ‘Laine’s better’ chant going again. @IllegalCurve #NHLJets pic.twitter.com/aNy7dw2F8D

And then really cranked it up with the score all tied up at 4 when Patrik Laine blew a shot past the Leafs goalie on a phenomenal pass by Nikolaj Ehlers with under a minute to go in the 3rd period:
This “Laine’s better” chant was better than the last one. Or at least louder. What a slap shot. #NHLJets pic.twitter.com/aRBwaH7SLI

So what did you think of the chant? Where would you rank it in terms of chants we’ve heard at the MTS Centre since the Jets returned in 2011-12?
Does it rank higher than:
– ‘Silver medal’ @ (then) Sabres goalie Ryan Miller
– ‘Mario’s poolboy’ @ the Penguins Sidney Crosby
– ‘Crosby’s better’ @ the Captials Alexander Ovechkin
– ‘Whose your captain?’ @ the entire San Jose Sharks team
– ‘Katy Perry’ @ the Ducks Corey Perry (added courtesy of the comment from Matt).
