Notable:
The Moose suffered a brutal loss as Declan Chisholm left the game in the 1st period after suffering an injury as he slid into the boards. He wasn’t able to put any weight on his left leg. He is the 2nd leading scorer for Manitoba and sits 5th amongst all defencemen.
Unlike in yesterday’s game the scoring didn’t get underway until the middle frame.
Four straight games with a goal for Dominic Toninato (and in five of his last six games) to open the scoring for Manitoba. He’s already set a career high for goals this season. This was number 16.
An absolute ripper by Tyler Boland gave Manitoba a 2-1 lead in the 2nd period.
With the Moose net empty for an extra attacker Jansen Harkins rips this shot on net to tie the game late in the 3rd as it goes in off a Wolves defender. Like Toninato he’s already eclipsed his career high for goals on this road trip. That was number 17.
Jansen Harkins almost ended it in OT for the Moose but game is heading to a shootout.
In the shootout alternate captain Cole Maier with the winner in the 3rd round of the shootout and Oskari Salminen with the stop.
They go 3-2-2 on the road and improve to 33-19-5- 3.
