Winnipeg Jets Brenden Dillon to have a phone hearing with Department of Player Safety

With the Jets down 1-0 after 20 minutes the visitors seemed to be turning the tide until Brenden Dillon was assessed a match penalty for this hit against Noel Acciari just 4:15 into the middle frame. If you didn’t see it here was the hit:

Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press is reporting that Dillon will have a phone hearing with Player Safety. That means the max suspension cannot exceed five games.

Player Safety has now confirmed the hearing will take place today.
