With the Manitoba government making the decision to forgo time changes in November, it means that we will no longer “fall back” an hour.
Accordingly, that decision has had reverberations for the Jets home schedule, as well as for how road-game start times will line up for fans watching in Winnipeg.
These are the new start times for these 12 home games:
Sat, Nov. 21 vs. VGK @ 7:00 p.m.
Mon, Nov. 23 vs. UTA @ 7:30 p.m.
Mon, Nov. 30 vs. CHI @ 7:30 p.m.
Sat, Dec. 19 vs. DAL @ 7:00 p.m.
Mon, Dec. 28 vs. SJS @ 7:30 p.m.
Sat, Jan. 2 vs. CGY @ 7:00 p.m.
Sat, Jan. 9 vs. UTA @ 7:00 p.m.
Sat, Jan. 16 vs. ANA @ 7:00 p.m.
Sun, Jan. 24 vs. BUF @ 3:00 p.m.
Wed, Feb. 17 vs. LAK @ 7:30 p.m.
Mon, Mar. 1 vs. SEA @ 7:00 p.m.
Sat, Mar. 13 vs. NSH @ 3:30 p.m.
Of course, this time change will also impact fans after November in the sense that road games will be seen at different times here in Winnipeg. A 7 p.m. game in San Jose, for example, will now start at 10 p.m. locally rather than 9 p.m. On the flip side, a 7 p.m. game in an Eastern time zone will begin at 7 p.m. in Winnipeg rather than 6 p.m.
The puck-drop time at the road venue is unchanged, but the permanent shift to daylight time changes how those games line up on the local clock.
