Manitoba Moose sign Luke Green and Francis Beauvillier to ATOs

As you can usually expect around this time of year some young players being added to the roster.

The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club announced today the team has signed defenceman Luke Green and forward Francis Beauvillier to amateur tryout agreements.

Green, 19, appeared in 60 games this season with the QMJHL’s Saint John Sea Dogs and Sherbrooke Phoenix.  The Bedford, NS product tallied 37 points (5G, 32A) along with 56 penalty minutes.  A former first overall QMJHL draft pick, Green has played 181 games in his junior career while totaling 108 points (21G, 87A).  Green was a third round pick, 79th overall, of the Winnipeg Jets in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Beauvillier, 23, played 24 games for the University of New Brunswick this season, posting 16 points (6G, 10A) and 61 penalty minutes.  In 74 games over three seasons at UNB, the 6’1”, 193 lbs centre totaled 54 points (26G, 28A) and 176 penalty minutes.  Beauvillier also claimed two straight national championships with the Varsity Reds, winning the University Cup in 2016 and 2017.  Prior to his university career, the Sorel-Tracy, QC native accumulated 205 points (98G, 107A) in 313 QMJHL games.  Beauvillier was a sixth round pick, 174th overall, of the Florida Panthers in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
