Manitoba Moose Practice Report

Latest from practice on the AHL club of Manitoba.

The biggest question marks for the AHL club of Manitoba is the health status of Jets prospect Colby Barlow, who has missed four straight games, and David Gustafsson who missed the last three. We know Barlow was listed as day-to-day but there was some thought he could be a player on the recent three-game road trip.

The Moose did get goalie Domenic DiVincentiis and defenceman Kale Clague back from their loan with the Jets. There are still three players who have spent most of this season down on the farm but are currently up with the big club in Walker Duehr, Ville Heinola and Elias Salomonsson (he’s getting close to a split with 29 Manitoba games and 17 for Winnipeg). With the NHL Trade Deadline on Friday they may remain up with the big club but it seems likely they’ll be sent back for the game on Friday so they are eligible for the Calder playoffs.

Skate news:

Both Colby Barlow and David Gustafsson are on the ice for today’s skate. Worth noting, however, that Gustafsson along with Tyson Empey and Fabian Wagner are in the powder blue of an extra.

With Domenic DiVincentiis back in the fold the team has returned goalie Isaac Poulter to Norfolk of the ECHL.

Lines & D pairs:

Shaw – Ford – Di Giuseppe
JAD – Zhilkin – Fagemo
Yoder – Lambert – Chibrikov
Julien – Yager – Barlow
Empey – Gustafsson – Wagner

Sautner – Bauer
Clague – Barteaux
Anhorn – Phillips
Zloty – Moulton
