Manitoba Moose Practice Report

Before the Moose hit the road they’ve got a few days of practice in Winnipeg.

The Moose earned a split against the team that was best in the AHL last season to kick off the 2025-26 campaign winning the season opener 4-1 before dropping the re-match on Sunday in a special teams affair by a final score of 5-2.

Over on another rink:

Jets IR skate continues here in Winnipeg as captain Adam Lowry (hip) and Dylan Samberg (broken wrist) skate under the watchful eyes of J.P. Vigier. From what I could see Samberg wasn’t shooting the puck. He was limited to flicking it using his right hand.

Skate news:

A few players were missing (see below) but the guys who you’d expect to be recalled for Cole Koepke, who left the Jets game yesterday after blocking a shot and did not return, were all on the ice. Of course with Winnipeg not playing until Thursday a recall would likely not happen until tomorrow.

Sent down:

Was informed Moose got down to 15 forwards, eight defenceman and two goalies as they’ve sent down goalie Isaac Poulter to Norfolk along with defenceman Ben Zloty and forward Jack O’Leary.

Lines & D Pairs:

Duehr – JAD – Shaw
Di Giuseppe – Yager – Fagemo
Barlow – Zhilkin – Lambert
Yoder – Gustafsson – Wagner
Empey – Conley –Vitelli

Heinola – Salomonsson
Phillips – Frisch
