Manitoba Moose Practice Report

Another day of practice in Winnipeg.

Today is the third straight day of practice for the AHL club of Winnipeg as they continue to prepare for a weekend set with the Griffins as they kick off 11 straight games against divisional opponents as they look to gain some ground in their chase for a playoff spot.

Skate news:

Still no Brad Lambert or Chaz Lucius at practice. Also worth noting that Ville Heinola left the practice midway through it. Nicholas Jones was skating in a yellow, non-contact uniform.

Lines:

Malott – Ford – Chibrikov
Viel-Reichel-Suess
Kemp-Bongiovanni-Nikkanen
Torgersson-Zhilkin-Caron

Health update:

Head coach Mark Morrison indicated that Ville Heinola leaving practice was part of the plan for the defenceman who is recovering from ankle surgery back in October that has kept him off the ice in a game situation until last weekend when he played for Manitoba in Laval.

Chaz Lucius went to see a specialist and they’ll be getting an update on him later today. I was told on January 3rd he was dealing with an ankle issue.

Brad Lambert is still feeling the effects of that big hit he received on Saturday. They didn’t label it a concussion but they are being cautious with it. He skated with Ville Heinola and Carson Golder before earlier today before practice.
