It’s been a very good year from Moose defenceman Kyle Capobianco. He finished with the most points amongst defencemen in the AHL totaling 54 points (12G 42A) in 69 games which was five more points than second spot.

Just five days ago he was named to the 2023-24 AHL First All-Star Team.
And today he’s got some new hardware becoming just the second ever Moose defender to have been voted the 2023-24 Eddie Shore Award winner as the AHL’s outstanding defenceman. The last guy was Sami Niku back in 2017-18.
As per the AHL “the award was voted on by coaches, players and members of the media in each of the league’s 32 cities.”.
