Manitoba Moose have reassigned goalie Domenic DiVincentiis to Norfolk

The Jets prospect is heading to the ECHL.

The the expected plan to start the 2024-25 season was for Jets goalie prospect Domenic DiVincentiis to be in the ECHL playing for the team’s affiliate in Norfolk.

That plan got tossed aside when the Avs claimed veteran goalie Kaapo Kahkonen off waivers.

It meant the Moose would have the youngest goalie tandem in the AHL.

DiVincentiis made his pro debut in Iowa in front of his dad and was fantastic making 37 saves on 39 shots for the win. He’s played five games for the Moose sporting a 2.24 GAA and a .930 save%.

When the Jets re-claimed Kahkonen the writing was on the wall as they wouldn’t be keeping three goalies with the Moose. Today Manitoba announced DiVincentiis was heading to Norfolk.

He will now have a chance to get a lot of playing time down in the ECHL.  But the good news for him and the organization is he looked quite solid to start his pro career.
