Manitoba Moose first round playoff series with Milwaukee Admirals set

Two teams very familiar with each other will face off in Winnipeg in a best-of-three first-round matchup between the Moose and Admirals.

Going into the final regular season game for the Moose this evening in Iowa they had a chance to bypass the first round if they could defeat the Wild and the Stars lost to the Icehogs in regulation. Manitoba held up their end as they demolished Iowa 6-1 with Jets prospect Colby Barlow contributing with his first ever multi goal game. However, Texas also won big defeating Rockford 5-1 to clinch 3rd in the Central.

This meant that Manitoba would be 4th and would play host to Milwaukee who finished in 5th.

The Moose announced the three dates for games (if necessary) are:

Game 1: Wednesday, April 22, 7 p.m. CT
Game 2: Friday, April 24, 7 p.m. CT
Game 3*: Sunday, April 26, 2 p.m. CT

Should be quite the matchup between these two. The Admirals won the season series finishing 5-3-0 while the Moose went (3-4-1) although the two most recent series saw each team win one game.

These two clubs have faced each other a couple of times in the post-season of late including in 2021–22 and the following 2022-23 playoffs. Both those series were won by Milwaukee.
