Notable:

Great heads up play by Moose goalie Collin Delia who didn’t get an assist on the opening goal of the game. Jeff Malott with his 13th of the season gets the home team off to a good start.

C.J. Suess made it 2-0 shortly after a Moose kill a penalty. That’s his sixth of the campaign. Henri Nikkanen, who was pointless in first 35 games, had a goal yesterday and got his first assist today (and he wasn’t done there).

After the Stars scored two goals in 15 seconds to tie the game the Moose use the final minute of the middle frame to take and then add to their lead. AJF got his sixth of the year with assists from Malott and Lambert.

Malott matched his career high for assists with 21 in game 50 for the Moose. Last season for Manitoba he had 21 assists in 71 games.

41 seconds after retaking the lead Jeffrey Viel gave the Moose some insurance late in the 2nd. 4-2 for Manitoba after 40 minutes.

Early in the 3rd, AJF got his second of the game, which increased the Moose lead to 5-2 early in the 3rd period as he fires this one upstairs.

Henri Nikkanen now has goals in back to back games and the Moose had themselves a 6-2 lead over the Stars. As indicated above he was pointless through 35 but now has 2G 2A in 37 after a big weekend for Manitoba.

Moose going streaking as they sweep two-game weekend set with Stars winning 6-2 as they get third straight W. 13 goals vs Texas for Manitoba as they move back into a playoff spot.

Multi-point game:

AJF 2G 1A
Jeff Malott 1G 2A
Henri Nikkanen 1G 2A
