A big part of the Moose mantra is community involvement. Their captain Jimmy Oligny embodies this and even though an injury last summer kept him off the ice it didn’t keep him out of the community.
This played is selected by their respective teams for:
“their outstanding contributions to the local community and charitable organizations during the 2022-23 season.”
We learned two days ago that he would be the Moose nominee and today the AHL announced he had won it.
Well deserving recognition for the Quebec product. If you are curious about all the things he does here in Manitoba check it out here.
Here is a team released video of Moose GM Craig Heisinger announcing that Oligny had been selected:
We couldn’t be more proud of our Captain!
Congratulations to Jimmy Oligny (@jimtweets7) on winning the 2023 Yanick Dupré Memorial Award as @TheAHL Man of the Year.
