Manitoba Moose assign goalie Jamie Phillips to the Tulsa Oilers

Ondrej Pavelec cleared waivers this morning it was expected the Moose would make this move and assign goalie Jamie Phillips to the Tulsa Oilers.

Moose Release:

Phillips, 23, was the Winnipeg Jets’ seventh round, 190th overall, pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The Caledonia, ON product is in his first season of pro after a four year, 99 game career at Michigan Tech. He posted a 57-26-8 record supported by a 2.00 GAA and .922 SV%.

Phillips guarded the net for the Moose in both of their pre-season games and registered a 3.68 GAA and 0.879 SV% in a pair of losses. He also played two games for the Winnipeg Jets in the Young Stars Tournament, posting a 2.31 GAA and .930 SV%.

The Manitoba Moose roster sits at 29 players including 18 forwards, 9 defencemen and 2 goalies. The Moose open the 2016-17 AHL Regular Season on Friday, Oct. 14 on the road against the Iowa Wild.
