Manitoba gives the Winnipeg Jets the green light to host home games

The province will allow the Jets to play home games in Winnipeg.

After receiving approval from the Manitoba government to have training camps in Winnipeg the Jets got more news as they have now been approved to play home games at Bell MTS Place according to Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun who is usually a Jets reporter but has been doing double duty as a COVID reporter since the pandemic began.

Scott adds more from this morning’s health update with Manitoba officials:

“Clarifications have been made to ensure all elements of game play (admin officials, broadcasters, scouts, etc.) are covered in the order. The teams will be required to follow strict protocols to ensure the safety of league members, limit risk to the public”

More from Scott on the public health orders:

The Jets are set to take on the Flames next Thursday in downtown Winnipeg to kick off the 2021 season.
