Kyle Connor ends Wolverines regular season with 23 game point streak

Another game and more points for the Jets top pick in 2015.  Michigan closed out the regular season with a game against Penn State and Kyle Connor added two goals to give him 30 on the season and to keep his streak alive at 23 games.  He finished the season with 30 goals and 31 assists (61 points) in 34 games.  His 1.79 points per game average was well above anyone else and he added six game winning goals this year.

The 2nd ranked Wolverines will now await the winner of #3 Penn State and #6 Wisconsin game in the Big Ten Tournament which begins in St. Paul next week.  Game will take place on Friday, March 18th at 4 pm CT in St. Paul, Minnesota.

From the Michigan Wolverines pre-game notes:

He has the No. 1 scoring average in the NCAA at 1.79 points per game. Connor is No. 2 on the all-time single-season freshman scoring list at Michigan, notching the most points by a freshman at Michigan since Bruno Baseotto had 76 points in 1979-80, and the most goals by a U-M freshman since Danny Felsner had 30 goals in 1988-89. Connor is tied for No. 2 in the nation with a plus/minus rating of +34.
