Ken Hitchcock signs extension

The Blue Jackets have signed coach Ken Hitchcock to a three-year extension that will keep him under contract with the club through the 2011-12 season, The Dispatch has learned.

No brainer for the Blue Jackets. Hitchcock is one of the best hockey minds in the business and will be an instrumental part in getting the Blue Jackets into the playoffs for the very first time.

ICYMI: While it was clear that Brad Lambert was feeling fine by game time, there were also health updates from Jets bench boss Rick Bowness on Morgan Barron and Wyatt Bongiovanni from his Thursday media availability.

Big Bad Brad (Lambert) and the man who gave him that moniker flipped the script and allowed the Jets to leave Quebec with a 4-3 victory.
