John Lu of TSN will be returning to Winnipeg to take over covering Winnipeg Jets from Sara Orlesky

The biggest changes this offseason in Winnipeg took place off the ice and behind the camera as TSN needed to replace play by play voice Dennis Beyak who retired and reporter Sara Orlesky who was hired by the Jets.

The news broke on Sunday that Dan Robertson would be taking over as the new voice of the Jets although it was still unclear as to who would be taking over for Sara. Today that became clear as per Bryan Mudryk of TSN indicated that Winnipegger John Lu would be returning to Manitoba to take over Jets coverage.

In Lu the Jets beat is getting a consummate professional who has been the Montreal Bureau Reporter for TSN covering the Canadiens, Impact and the Alouettes. He was a Cre Comm grad who worked for CKY News before heading east to TSN.

Those are two good, experienced hires by TSN to cover the Jets.
