The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they will host an outdoor practice at The Forks on the Assiniboine River on Sunday, February 23, 2014. Practice starts at 1:30 p.m. CT and is open and free to the public.
The Jets along with the full coaching staff will skate for approximately one hour as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.This event is an opportunity for the general public to access players and coaches and to experience a professional hockey practice in a community environment.
The Forks is a historic site, meeting place and green space in Downtown Winnipeg located at the confluence of the Red River and Assiniboine River. The Forks was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1974 due to its status as a cultural landscape that had borne witness to six thousand years of human activity. The site’s 5.5-hectare (14-acre) grounds are open year-round.
