Jets solidified another piece of the Kane/Bogosian trade to Buffalo signing Brendan Lemieux to a entry level deal this morning.

Jets Release:

The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forward Brendan Lemieux on three-year, two-way, entry level contract with an average annual value of $1.125 million.

Lemieux, 19, was acquired by the Jets in a trade on Feb. 11, 2015 that also brought Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Joel Armia and a first-round pick at the 2015 NHL Draft (Jack Roslovic) from Buffalo in exchange for Zach Bogosian, Evander Kane and Jason Kasdorf. Lemieux was drafted by the Sabres in the second round, 31st over-all in 2014. He had 41 goals and 60 points in 57 games for the OHL’s Barrie Colts last season, his third with the club. Over his OHL career, Lemieux had 74 goals and 127 points in 164 games. He also won a gold medal with Canada at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka U18 Memorial Tournament in Slovakia.
