From Tom Reed of the Columbus Dispatch:

Blue Jackets winger Jared Boll arrived in Columbus on Monday with a cast on his right hand. Boll said he broke his hand last week playing shinny in Toronto.

He got hit with the puck in the glove, Boll said, a play similar to the one that ended Dan Fritsche’s season last spring. The Jackets’ tough guy said he expects to be ready for the start of veteran training camp on Sept. 19. He had been working out with captain Rick Nash among others in Toronto, Boll said.

Boll provided the Jackets with some solid toughness, grit and intensity last season so that team must be happy to have found out that Boll probably won’t miss anytime.
