Jack Roslovic wins Top Scorer Award for the Manitoba Moose

When the Manitoba Moose handed out their end of season awards in their home finale back on April 9th they gave out all but one award as the winner for most points in the season couldn’t be handed out with Jack Roslovic, Kyle Connor and Dan DeSalvo all in contention with two games to go in the season.

After the final couple of games of the Manitoba season in Cleveland, Ohio native Jack Roslovic emerged with the highest total over his two fellow rookies Connor and DeSalvo.  Roslovic finished 2016-17 with 48 points (13 goals and 35 assists) in 65 games.  He would have easily eclipsed the 50 point plateau but missed nine games when he was away from the team winning World Junior gold with Team USA from mid December until almost mid January.

Fellow 2015 1st rounder Kyle Connor gave Roslovic a run for his money for the Ultimate Software Top Scorer Award as he tore up the AHL putting up 44 points (25 goals and 19 assists) in just 52 games.  Worth noting that Connor scored eight goals in his first 32 games and then put up 17 goals in his final 20 games of the season.

Dan DeSalvo also merits mention considering he was in the ECHL to start the season, got a PTO with the Moose on November 10th and then was signed to an AHL deal by the club on December 7th.

But in the end Jack Roslovic who began his first professional season with 10 points in his first 10 AHL games led from the beginning of the Moose season to the end and adds this hardware to a rather lengthy list of achievements (AHL All-Star, first NHL game in hometown) this past year for one of the Jets top prospects.
