Injury Update: Brandon Tanev nicked up in first game against Canucks

When it was revealed that Shawn Matthias and Joel Armia would be back in the Jets lineup it meant the team would have to take two players out of the lineup.  When coach Maurice was asked who was coming out following the morning skate and he indicated Andrew Copp and Brandon Tanev.

“Tanev got nicked up at the end of the game last game so he has a bit of an injury” said the Jets bench boss.  Of course that is fairly vague and could mean just about anything.

Looking at the shift charts from that Tuesday game against the Canucks the Jets forward played his normal shifts with his linemates Andrew Copp and Adam Lowry.  The last shift they took was a 12 second one from 58:08 to 58:20.

We will have to wait and see what his status is when the Jets resume practice.  For now the lone Jets players out of the lineup for health reasons remains Tyler Myers.
