Make it nine straight losses as the Jets lose 4-2 to the Senators to end the road trip. They are 0-6-3 during this run. Too many penalties and when your PK has slid the way the Jets have that is not a recipe for success.

Notable:
While the Jets don’t have much to celebrate at least Adam Lowry is starting to produce with the captain getting his second goal in the last four games, this time shorthanded off a beauty bank pass by Kyle Connor. With the shorty he is now the all-time shorthanded goals leader in Jets 2.0 history with 12. He still trails Doug Smail by quite a few for players in a Winnipeg uniform with shorthanded goals with 25. He also trails Thomas Steen who has 13. By NHL records he is now tied with Marian Hossa who had 12 for the Thrashers.
As we wrote about in the pre-game report the Jets couldn’t afford to take penalties against the Senators who came into the game with the 8th ranked power play. But they did and it allowed Ottawa to tie the game and added an insurance goal which made it 3-1.
After starting the season 9-3-0 the Jets have gone 6-18-4 which has them sitting solidly in the last spot in the entire NHL.
