Glen Sather on the Jagr situation

From Steve Zipay of Newsday:

“It may be a reality. I still think it’s necessary to have experienced, talented people in your lineup to help these guys develop and Jaromir certainly has been a great player for this organization and I’m not ready to say goodbye to him. He may be ready to say goodbye to us. I can’t say that for sure.”

It appears Jagr may be heading to another NHL team, as the sides don’t look like they are getting any closer to an agreement. That said, the Rangers did open up more cap space today with the Tyutin/Backman trade and may make a splash bringing back Jagr and another scorer. If not the Rangers, then the Penguins, Oilers, Habs and Canucks are probably very interested in his services.
